Canchas de Uruguay: Fulbright Project:
More than 200 photographs and new sculptural works inspired by his travels to document the culture of soccer in Uruguay's 19 departments. The exhibition, Canchas de Uruguay, gives another point of view, focusing less on the game and more on the culture generated by the small but mighty country of soccer. Cancheros, vendors, trophy racks, fan-made stadium flags, architecture, livestock, grandstands large and small become the focus of this documentary project.
